Water Distribution News

Good day Mott Park, we are trying to put together a list of neighbors who would be willing to assist neighbors who do not have transportation to any of the distribution sites. Volunteers would either take neighbors to one of the sites or deliver water to the homes of the person or family in need out of cases that have been donated. Per my conversations with 211 water cases will only be delivered to those who are home bound meaning the are not physically able to leave their home by the Sheriff’s Department. They did not give ETAs for delivery. For anyone who is physically able to leave their home they are allowed to catch a MTA bus for free to one of the sites. Just mention to the bus driver that you are headed to one of the pick up sites and they are suppose to let you on at no charge. This may not be practical for most due to heavy lifting and the weather. This is where the MPNA wants to assist those neighbors. We are not looking to replace water distribution efforts by the state and charities nor have the ability to do so but want to help. Please contact us if you are interested in being on the list of volunteers, donating or are in need of delivery or transportation to one of the distribution sites.
